Dr. Kranthi Kiran did his M.B.,B.S from KAKATIYA MEDICAL COLLEGE in Warangal,India.He completed his residency  training in general psychiatry and neuropsychiatry at THE CHICAGO MEDICIAL SCHOOL under supervision of Dr. Michael Alan Taylor M.D a world renowned neuropsychiatrist. Dr. Taylor was one of the pioneers in the fields of neuropsychiatry , behavioral neurology and biological psychiatry. Dr. Taylor has been training residents and fellows over the past 50 years in U.S.A . His trainees are spread all over the globe and are striving to help people suffering from various neuropsychiatric disorders.

Dr. Kranthi Kiran also had fellowship training in Geriatric psychiatry from UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII in Honolulu, U.S.A. He is one of the very few fellowship trained geriatric psychiatrists in the world.

Dr.Kranthi Kiran is certified for administration of electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation . He treated hundreds of patients using brain stimulation techniques over the span of several years to help mood disorders and psychosis. He was a consultant psychiatrist for medical, surgical and intensive care units in several hospitals in USA over the past 20 Years. He had a very busy outpatient practice and also ran dual diagnosis programs for patients with alcoholism and other substance use disorders.

Dr. Kranthi Kiran's areas of interest include neuropsychiatric disorders, bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, addictions, brain stimulation techniques and psychopharmacology.

Dr. Kranthi Kiran supervised medical students and residents from the Chicago medical school and University of Hawaii as a Junior attending physician. He served as Chief Resident during his 4th year of residency training at The Chicago Medical School.
