Dr. Rajesh Kumar Enagala
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Enagala is a consultant radiologist who specializes in Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT), Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Microwave Ablation (MWA) and Foam sclerotherapy of Varicose Veins. He also has vast experience in Microwave Ablation (MWA) of Thyroid Nodules, Vascular Doppler, Contrast ultrasound and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Having completed his Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery- MBBS at Kakatiya Medical College, Kakatiya University; he went on to do his post-graduation in DMRD at Osmania Medical College, University of NTR Health Sciences. He also has an Ultrasound Imaging Fellowship in Department of Diagnostic Radiology from Singapore General Hospital. He was trained in EVLT and RFA of varicose veins at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) under Prof Dr Tan Seck Guan, senior consultant vascular surgeon in department of general surgery in Singapore.
His previous experience includes working as a consultant radiologist at Tesla Diagnostics and in the Department of Radiology at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Hyderabad. He was also a state and Central Council Member of the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association, (IRIA), AP and Telangana state branches. He was elected as Secretary General of Telangana State IRIA from 2016-2018.
He was also elected as a Senior National Vice President IRIA in 2022, and received the prestigious president appreciation award in 2022 for the outstanding and meritorious services to IRIA.
He has also delivered multiple lectures at various National and State conferences and CME programs and conducted many workshops.
In 2011, Dr. Enagala started the first Exclusive Varicose Veins Laser Clinic in combined AP state, and in March 2019, he introduced Microwave Ablation of Varicose Veins for the first time in India and has performed over 8000 Endovenous thermal procedures with a success rate of more than 98%. His tremendous treatment has led to the complete cure of leg ulcers caused by varicose veins in hundreds of his patients.
